Project Overview

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) World Bank Tunnel required comprehensive restoration to improve both durability and appearance while minimizing disruption to daily operations. JMJ General Restoration completed the work during overnight hours, performing expansion joint replacement, structural concrete repairs, rust remediation, commercial painting, and installation of a high-performance waterproof traffic coating system. The result was a clean, durable tunnel designed to withstand heavy pedestrian traffic and extend the service life of the facility

Project Scope

• Replacement of deteriorated aluminum expansion joint cover

• Concrete repairs surrounding the expansion joint system

• Surface preparation including cleaning, scraping, and rust removal

• Commercial painting of tunnel ceilings, walls, exposed piping, and metal surfaces

• Application of industrial primer and semi-gloss protective coating system

• Rust remediation using a multi-coat protective paint system

• Installation of Tremco Vulkem waterproof traffic coating system

• Overnight work scheduling to minimize disruption to facility operations

• Complete site cleanup and debris removal upon completion
